Smokers need to worry about the negative effects of smoking on their health. They might be already worried about how hard it would be to quit smoking. Nicotine is highly addictive, which makes quitting difficult. In fact, most people try to stop smoking, but do not succeed the first time. It may take more than one try, but one can stop smoking eventually.

Here are a few tips:

  • Take that first step;
  • Decide to stop smoking;
  • Make a promise to yourself;
  • Set a quit date and stick to it;
  • Think positive: you might have tried to quit smoking before and not managed to do that, but don’t let that stop you from trying again until you succeed;
  • Take advantage of the multitude of resources available to help you successfully quit smoking.
